JB conversions

You may have to change/modify your rear driveshaft though as I did.

I bought the NV231HD from John at JB Conversions. It is basically a direct replacement for your NV231D, except that it will come with a slip yoke eliminator which will require you to run a CV style rear driveshaft. It has a 6-Pinion Planatary gear set (which is as strong as they come), and basically everything a NV241 has in it with the exception of the front output shaft (which remains strong, but not as strong as a 241).

The cases are new, so there is no core charge, and mine ran $1k shipped.

Some other choices would be a 3/4 ton verson of the NV241DHD which is what comes in all of the 2500 trucks. Also, JB Conversions sells the NV241OR which is the Jeep Wrangler Rubicon t-case and it has a 4:1 low range.

Good luck in your search.
