Default the old tranny issue, approach with logc and cheap first!

did a search on "transmission fix". got a lot of good legacy posts. I have learned to be a valve body mechanic. This part of the transmission does not take special tools to fix or replace parts. My TV cable has been adjusted properly. Doesn't shift until I let off the gas. downshift too semsitive. (I know sounds like TV cable misadjusted.)

Any way, I would like to replace some parts in this 46RE. I got a shift kit, but I'm thinking that's not exactly gonna fix the prob. what do you guys think of the governor solenoid and pressure switch? what about this tiny little control valve thingy? I am talking about this part:

Auto trannys no longer scare me, but they are a little tricky.

thanks
