Default code P1281

ofcourse I have another question...I have a check engine light that I have read off my OBDII that comes up with code P1281 which I believe is something like "engine taking to long to get up to temp" I just changed my thermostat since it was broken and stayed open...but I tried to clear the code but it will not clear the dash??? anyone have an idea how to fix? Thanks!

Your code reader should have a feature to reset the PCM. Or just wait, the code will clear itself after a couple of drive cycles when the computer sees everything is kosher again.

Unhook the terminals on the battery and turn the Key switch to start for about 15 seconds and that should reset it
