Default wiper problem

If I push the wash to clean the windshield, the wipers will make a couple passes then stop in the middle of the windshield. Will also do the same if I just shut them off. Anyone else have this happen?

'park circuit' in the wiper motor is not working. remove wiper blades and plastic cowl to expose motor. use voltmeter to test for voltage at the electrical connector. should have one wire thats 12 volts on low speed. another wire should be 12 volts on high speed. another wire should have 12 volts on both high or low (this is the park circuit) and the last of the 4 wires is ground. if all wires check out then the winding inside the motor is going out/gone out. it might park properly at times, if so - good. if it parks intermittently, eventually it will probably quit parking at all. you can practice with the switch and get good at parking it manually or else replace the wiper motor.

to get wiper arms off, look at the base and find a release tab that you pull a very small amount, only about 1/16 or so, then use 2 more hands to pull up on wiper blade to take the tension off the shaft, and they just pop straight off. don't overpull on the tab, if it won't come off easy its because you have the wrong angle/tension on the arm.
