Default no gauges work

2000 ram 1500 gauges not working odom reads no buss brake light, abs, fuel and check engine light stay on. Truck runs fine, gauges not dead, they work when going through test cycle, after that they do not work. Someone said it might be a ground wire. no clue . also compass reads CCD.

I responded to your private post, but check out Pg 566 of the 2001 Factory Service manual. You're seeing a failure in the Chrysler Colision Detection bus. It specifies a series of voltage, fuse and continuity tests that look pretty reasonable. My gutt tells me that without an OBD-II tool you're going to be headed to a dealer pretty soon to get it working again.

clean/check/retighten grounds on ps pump bracket, grounds under dash on drivers side.
check all fuses.
unplug/replug pcm connectors.
do a search for 'no bus'. i think rabbler or xxl had a checklist recently.
