I got the CEL light on my 1500 and the code for a MAP sensor 2 weeks ago. I changedthe MAP and thenI drove the truck about 5 miles after the change and it ran good. I let it sit for 2 weeks and drove it yesterday and now it stalls all the time, especially when decelerating or idling. I get no codes so anyone have any ideas?

 

Try checking for codes anyway even though there's no CEL. Also how's your TPS? O2 sensors? Cat? Are all vaccum lines connected?

 

There are no codes or CEL light.

The CAT and 02 sensors were replaced about 4 years ago. Don't know about the TPS. I am trying to find a scope to put it on, my scope is broken.

 

ya mine did the same thing, ran like complete crap, idle problem and when i hit the gas it would backfire and somtimes catch and go. i replaced the map n tps and its all good now (my o2 was newer) just my expeirence.

 

Well the truck is 11 years old (205k) and the only sensors that have ever been replaced have been the MAP and both 02 sensors. I'll try a new TPS and see what happens, I think I got my monies worth out of the first one. Can't seem to find a decent scope anywhere for less than a grand.
