Thinking about getting a 3 inch body lift with the Christmas money. Just wondering how big of a PITA they are to install....Me and my dad are pretty good with vehicles....is it worth it? Is PA the best body lift out there? any tips suggestions? thanks!

body lifts are the easiest lifts to install. When I did one on my jeep it took about 2 hours

ok dude here is what i did on my 96 . weld a extenson on the 4x4 lever , weld little square pieces for the bed so when there is weight on it the bed wont sag .. make a day out of it not hard but its not easy.. Go to PA website and download the instructions awhile so you know what you are getting into.

i had to weld on an extension onto my shifter for my trans. All in all very simple, just time consuming. Take your time so you don't screw anything up. make a day or a weekend out of it.....took me about6 hours or so by myself with airtools, but this was also in the dark...didn't get off of work till 9 and needed to get the lift on so i could get my exaust lol...

Im also curious about the install..

When you say you weld in extensions... what exactly do you do? Cut the levers in half and weld in an extension? And if so does the kit come with all the extensions?

If anyone has ever payed for the install how much was it?

I cut a piece off of another lever kit(cut it in half)did not come with it.. cost for a shop to do it is 600-900 depends how much PITA the install can be.. this is for 95-97 i think 98 on up are different..

Wow.. the body lift itself cost a under a third of the installation. I guess there is alot of work that goes into it though. I still couldnt bring myself to pay that much.

Mine took 8 hours to install by a professional 4x4 shop. They special in Jeeps, and commented to me several times how this was so much more indepth then the Jeep body lifts they do very often.
