LMAO, well said. I just don't got anywhere to do it though. The best place I have is out in the street in the freeeeezing cold lol. And I aint waiting for summer to get these suckers in! Hmmm....If i can find a garage for the day, I will try it!

where do you think im doing my cam swap? i can only store parts in my garage. I just get on some big old coats and get wrenchin.
I'm puttin headers on my vuddies lifted '84 chevy tomorrow. We're in the process of getting crazy amounts of rain here, we're supposed to get around 6 inches tomorrow, from 3 am to like 3 pm, and I have to do them in my driveway. It's also flash flooding with 50-60 mph winds. We both want to get them on so bad we're gonna run it open headers for two weeks until he can afford to have it all welded up and buy a y-pipe:P And his truck cae from the bay area, so we're gonna have to soak it all down with PB blaster first. I know your truck's not rusting apart
That's kinda what I thought you were talking about it post 42...

heybuddy1901 you should definetly start being a real man and making your own beer. Have you ever drunk home brewed beer? I have a friend who makes is own at is gooood stuff. Really dark hoppy stuff, and you get liiiiittttt

As for the Chevys i'm not sure what their blocks are made out of but probably cast iron same as the rest.

Turns out my buddie's being a big sand-filled vagina. He doesn't want to snap a bolt off in the head, boo-hoo. Bastard. I have half a mind to just go to his house and do it when he's inside visiting summer's eve.
BTW I feel you 20dodge. Sometimes, stress isn't worth the gain.
I am so sorry SilverRam_01. I was the only one that mentioned snapping off a bolt in this thread. I thought you were talking about me. You did not mention that hetoo was afraid of doing this. Please forgive me and accept my apologies.

Believe it or not, your friend needs you. I have run my buddy all over the place and fixed his many cars and vans. I have even purchased a Chiltons manual for him on the way to do a tune up. He does not have the touch with a wrench that I was talking about.

Again...I am sorry for the misunderstanding.

CoastieJack, is that rear flange bolt hole going through the gasket sealing area? It looks as though there is only about 1/16" of sealing area between the bolt and hole there. Just curious about the gasket match up on those.
I think it might be the angle, they all looked fine to me. I set the gasket on there before I put them up and it all worked out perfect, they were the ones that came with the set but they were pretty decent, and steel?-imbeded. Plus, that just means there's better flow from bigger ports, right?

Oh, it took longer also because I was working in the parking lot at autozone and spent a lot of time jawing with folks, and just slacking off in general. If I was in a garage and it wasn't 35 degrees, it wouldn't take but three or four hours.

Oh, and not to get in the argument, but the only chevies that had aluminum blocks were the LS-series engines, and the truck engines are cast-iron.
