Can i put 24 inch wheels on my 95 1500 2wd?
we aint tryin to discourage you man, its just kinda crazy to think of 24's on a dodge ram. but whatever floats your boat. with all that money you are spending you can upgrade you tires and upgrade the engine and smoke anyone down the road. i dont really see a point to 24 inch rims.

they are 2.5 ton rockwells....just imagine the 5 ton rockwells....(there's a guy on pavementsucks who put them in his dodge)...but for the question on 24's. they will fit you will probably needa 30 series tire, and that tire shop will hate you for making them mount those rubberbands....

Here's a picture of the 5 ton rocks we were talking about, just incase you decide to go a different way

Make sure you post up some pictures when you get those 24s on. You do have a really nice truck downunder.

That Caprice wouldn't have been too bad if he had stuckwith 20's. Anyway, I am both a 4x4 owner, and a rwd owner, but something in me just loves a truck on dubs. Downunder, I suggest you pick up a copy of truckin magazine, every once in a while there are wicked lowered dodges. as for your 24's, the guys are right. Make sure you pay close attetion to backspacing, wheel width, and tire height. If they still rub, you have 2 choices. Either put a leveling kit on it to lift the front end a bit, or go completely custom. What this usually includes is cutting out the front and rear inner fenders, and then adding an adjustable suspension setup, such as airbags. Custom is going to be the most expensive, but I think it looks the best. Just remember, its your truck, and you can do whatever you want to it.
23" wheels don't rub on dodges with the right fit. 24" do. Nobody can really notice that inch. I had a pair on mine but I took them off when my tranny started acting up. I think I may ride factory for now.
I commited an offense worse than that caprice you pictured motobreath. I used to have a 94 Impala on 20" dayton knock-offs. That was like seven years ago and I got tired of having to constantly have to tighted the wheels up. Like every 80 miles I had to stop and beat the spinners with a lead hammer. I lost $1000 dollars when I sold those rims.
To be honest with all the things you can buy, rims are one of the biggest wastes of money. You never get back what you put into it. There is no real advantage and they warp so easily, exp on a heavy truck.
I have had nothing but headaches with rims. But I still like the way they look. The difference is I think, is that us city folk like low trucks and rims and dem country boys like high riders.
I used to mud, but its too costly I ate up a 99 Montero, two engines and a tranny in one year all mudding. I also flipped my cherokee in the spillway and got hurt bad when I was younger. I understand them, but I understand you too.
Look at 23"s they fit alot better or even 22"s, but then you may be getting too small.lol

**** Actually I don't think that is them, those are 20"s I was thinking about getting. My bad. Mine had really thin spokes. I think I took this pic and decdied I didn't like them. I know I have a pic with the 23"s. They are on a 2002 F-150 now.

i agree with the majority of members 24's are to big and to much a hassle to make them fit. i have 20's with beefy tires dont have the opportunity go off roading living in the windy city closest i get is pot holes and snow. 22 inchs rims will suffice you dont wana give these trucks the lean look.....be prepared to change plenty of suspension parts as well or at least imo i have done at an alarming rate but its worth the good feeling
If you put 24s on you will definitly need bigger brakes. Even if you keep the same outside diameter. you are putting a whole lot more sprung weight on your truck. That will take forever to stop. (hope no one pulls out in front of you) Also it will take a football field to turn it around. Think of it like this it is easier to stop a 30'diameter 10lb. mass spinning 2000 rpms than it is stopping 30'diameter 20lb. mass spinning 500 rpms. If you put them on I would put on bigger brakes! good luck.
