you can get a push/pull unit that eliminates the vacuum cad. I've heard of people taking the stub shafts and hubs off of fords and putting them on the dodges....but it don't really know why you would want to do this...

1.) Less wear and tear on the front end componants
2.) Better MPG because less rotating mass when on the street
3.) (For people who are into 4x4ing) ability to unlock 1 wheel with a front locker or limited slip installed for better steering.
If Dodge had offered selectable hubs I would have looked long and hard for one, but alas Ford is the only one that offers them on 3/4 ton truck anymore...
