Hey guys.. was just reading and adding to the AIRDAM thread... and i remembered that my bumper is off.. i've tried to get it to straiten up SOOO many times.. i can get it 2 look OK then in a week its back f'ed up..
for some reason the edges hang down under the lights... i always check out other dodges and it seemseveryone has the same problem?? do i need to get new braces? 99 dodge ram 1500

 

i think i have the same problem you do. the grey trim under the headlights seems to angle donward (if lookin right to left on pass. side)? yeah i got that, ha i just deal with it, i need other things first lol

 

it sounds like you're not getting the bolts tight enough, or else they are stripped, or coming loose. try removing the bolts and inspecting them, put on a lot of wd40 and run the nuts all the way down to make sure the threads are clean, and then when you put them on, tighten the crap out of them with an air gun or a LONG breaker bar. i don't see a torque spec, but they're big bolts, with 18mm nuts, so they should accept about 100 pounds of torque.

braces are just pieces of steel. unless they are bent, weakened, or damaged, they should be fine.
