Default Interesting 2 say the least....

Looks as if the dealer phucked me before the truck even left the lot when we first bought the truck brand new. We bought our 01 as a left over and years later down the road... what do I find? I find that the reason my truck wont start... (after I replaced thestarter, tracing the relays back etc...) Tested from ignition switch down to be a little black box. hmm... wtf? My father bought the truck new and never sunk a dime into that thing. I get it and fix her up nice and recently experienced a turn key no start problem quite recently. Again... after using my volt meter i determined that this box was getting the 12v feed from the ignition switch, but then returning nothin out of the box. So what is this box you might ask? I know I asked the same question when I drove down to my local dodge dealer (not my original dealer) and asked for the replacement part. Some guy came out and looked and told me it was aftermarket. BULL$h1t!!!!! I dont have power windows, power locks or nothing. turns out after talking with them, the dealer my father bought the truck off of decided to install these aftermarket starter immobilizers in their vehicles (CUTTING THE ORIGINAL WIRING HARNESS!!!) to install such a thing... only to fail years later down the road when it served no purpose for me. That should have been removed after we bought it. We also bought a 01 intrepid from the same dealer and it is indeed equiped with the same box only still functional. We experienced an issue a while back where you would turn the key but wouldnt fully turn the starter. HMM... did we get bent over for a new starter plus installation when this pos box failed but they never told us in the car? WTF? my moms 02 concorde doesnt have that but we purchased from a different dealer. When asking my buddy's dad who worked for dodge he had no idea about them? WTF is going on here? I just droped 150 on a starter that I put in because I thought it was bad, only 2 find out some pos aftermarket piece of poo was installed before it ever left the lot. Never told about it. We never purchased a security system with either vehicles. (again the truck has manual windows, manual locks... whats the point anyway?) What do i do? Heres what the box is. Here What can i do? My harness has been modified, so now I have to rig up under my dash in order to get it to work the way it should have worked in the first place! OMG IM SO PISSED! someone lead me in the right direction.

Thanks in advance,

i know what u mean about those immobilizer things. they are total bs, we have a few cars at the dealer and our sister dealer installed them, so we get the cars try n sell em and they wont start. we, like u replaced the starters ( on a landrover it aint to cheap either) and it didnt fix it. so we sent em to our other dealer n had them removed. simple as that. we dont understand why u would keep them in after its sold. its stupid. they people back out of the deal by the way :P go figure.
