Default Sound System Setups

Just wondering what people are running and how they ran it. I know some people have their setups in their signatures, but I was thinking this thread could be used for ideas and input on what sounds good in our trucks. Plus any installation tips and tricks would be great. Pictures are awesome too.

Mines not finished yet. just got started on the box yesterday. gonna house a pair of Kicker C12s and a Kicker 300 watt mono amp and a few other goodies when its done. going under the back seat of my 98 Quad cab. Subs will be firing up and the amp will be flush mounted.

the front has three ram head logos on it. the center is a raised logo that will show thru the carpet, the two side logos are actually windows into the sub box that will be backed with lexan and will be lit from inside the box with red LEDs

whole thing will be covered with light grey carpet. Probably gonna take me at least another two weeks to finish as I still have parts I need to get for the box and the install

that box looks real good, cant wait to see it when its done. But is a 300w amp powerful enough to push two 12's?

thanks. gonna take me another week or two to finish depending on weather and what i manage to get done on my days off. the subs are rated 300W so the amp should push em just fine. gonna wire em in parrallell to cut them down to 2 ohms should pound pretty hard

Infinity 6X9 3 ways in the doors
Infinity components in the rear side panels with the tweeters mounted by the seat belt in top corner.
4 channel MTX amp for these under the center console where the useless rear drink holder was.
Highs only to the rear speakers and sometimes to the fronts also. Depends on how loud I jam.

Two channel bridged MTX amp under drivers seat.
MTX thunderform with 2 down firing 10's under rear seat.

Eclipse CD deck.

Used to have a changer under the seat. Removed since it is easier to switch cd's in the dash than under my seat.

Im gonna have to agree with you on that one. I often questioned myself as to why I just put in a new headunit when i hardly ever turn it on.My super 44 does play a sweat tune that my ears love to hear, and never gets old.

I have Kenwood 6x9's 3-ways in the door, with a Panasonic Head unit. I removed the factory 5 1/4's because my 6x9's work just fine. My set up is great for a regular cab pick-up. Kicks just enough, but you can still hear the mids and highs. It's a JBL Grand Touring 600 Watt Monoblock and 2 Diamond Audio 8" M3 Subs in a custom Vented box. It's perfectly sized so that I don't have to push my seat back at all. I didn't want to sacrifice my leg room on my side, so that's where teh amp is.
