Where can i find a NEW seat cushion?
I am guessing that the previous owner had a rather large butt. My seat is flattened out and I would love to find a NEW seat cushion (foam). I have not been able to find it using google, I just might not be looking in the right spot or using the correct search term, but I am out of luck. I am avoiding going to a dealership, for the obvious reasons...
looking for the driver's side bottom cushion.
Anyone out there have a resource for such an item?

Yes, keep me in mind when you find something too.
I am also planning on replacing all my power seat switches too, but I think I can do that if i took them to an electronics shop and get the actual switches themselves.
I sat in the passenger seat a while back and realized how nice they actually were. Its like my drivers seat is slanted to the left, I guess thats from turning and sliding out of the truck. I know I am guilty of that...
I have found everything but the actual foam, everything down to the seat hardware, slides, and the recliner handles, but where the damn foam?? LOL

I did fine someone on ebay selling used ones, but thats not what i want...
I also found a DIY repair to boost the seats up. Not sure if I want to take that route and use a "trick" to get the seat back to normal.
Basically the DIY trick was to take the seat out, and underneath install rug cut out to prevent the foam from getting squished through the supports. My addition would be to go to a fabric store and get a foam block or that memory foam stuff and jam that between the original foam and the newly added rug. But... i am not that desperate yet... yet.

Haha- I have a 98 the seat cushion is junk. Went to 15 yes 15 auto upholsters and they all told me the same thing. "The cushion from Dodge is $ 700, go to a junker and find a used one", So I drove literally all over the state, but guess what, every junk yard I went to all the dodges had the SAME PROBLEM!!! So now instead of buying a $ 700 seat cushion I have ordered a very very nice aftermarket 40/20/40 bench for around $ 550.
I have a need for a drivers cushon as well. It looks like someone got hungry and ate the seat side. I guess its from getting in and out without step bars. Sounds like a group buy if we can find a place.

I just did a visual check on what it looks like under there. I am thinking where its the way its wrapped around the side (door side) and under the side molding, there is extra foam. So, I might unhook the clips that hold the fabric on and do just as Mayfair suggested, and repack it in the troubled areas and put the carpet or thin plywood under the seat on the bottom.
When/if I take the route and it works, I will post my results.
Don't hold your breathe, I am still hoping to find a new replacement foam.
