Rim backspacing
Im going to order some 16x10 rims this evening or tomorrow and want to know if 4.5" of backspacing. Will 305/70R16 tires rub too bad. I am going to put a leveling kit on the truck to allow better fit. I would rather not have the tires stick out of the fender too much but I know I will have to deal with a little bit of stickingout. Hopeing 4.5 inches will be enough.
Its going to be close w/o the leveling kit. I have 305/70/16 on on 16x10 wheel but they have 4 inch backspacing. I have a 3 inch lift and they are like about a half an inch from rubbing at full turn. Its going to be close w/o the leveling kit, i'm gonna say that they will rub a bit.
I am going with the 10 inch rim so that when I do put a 5 or so inch lift and 35's then I wony have to buy rims again. trying to save some money in the long run. I am going to try and find 4" backspacing rims that I want. These rims wont put too much added pressure on the bearings and axles will they.
IM getting american eagle alloy 16x10 style 187. I ordered them last night so they shold be here the end of this week or beginning of next, right around the time my tires get here. I cant wait for them to get here so I can put them on.
