Default “Ten-in-Ten Fuel Economy Act”

http://www.greencarcongress.com/2006...rs_introd.html

"Four US Senators—Dick Durbin (D-IL), Dianne Feinstein (D-CA), Olympia Snowe (R-ME) and Lincoln Chafee (R-RI)—introduced the “Ten-in-Ten Fuel Economy Act” to raise the average fuel economy standards for all light-duty vehicles—including trucks and SUVs—from 25 miles per gallon (mpg) to 35 mpg by model year 2017."

I figure cars will fly by then anyways.

Wow. Got a feeling those trucks are going to be gutless like the late 70's and 80's vehicles when the admissions standards went up.

HEV Dodge Ram
http://www.hybrid-vehicles.net/dodge...brid-truck.htm

I don't care if its gas, electric, hyrbid, or hydrogen, it better have ***** when i mash the skinny little pedal.

Dodgeman I think by 2017 your 99 Ram will be melted down and used to build a hybrid, hydrogen powered bio diesel moped.

I seriously do not see this happening... The best I have seen so far is the 09 ram 1500 with the V8 CTD that is supposed to get 20/25 mpg.

I have a feeling I may end up like the fella down the road from me...

He's probably in his mid fifties... He has never owned a car from the 70s,80s,90s, present...
This dude has been driving muscle cars around since EVERYBODY ELSE was...
He's got an orange 66 charger, and this Green Hearst Olds right now.

Hopefully there will still be second gen dodges in the future

2017 Dodge Ram 3500 cummings turbo, shortbed, 4x2, with the off road fenders, and tow package. I think it still comes with the 46RE.
