If it was an Accel coil, those are notorious for failing early. I don't know if you can get MSD Ignition parts in the UK, but those are much better.

Don't give up on the performance parts! If I took all my performance modifications off, I think I'd have to drive my truck into the Channel (English Channel, for you non Brits).

 

thanks mate i will have a look. what would you suggest for more hp and performance. ive fitted an airaid intake kit and tb spacer also the ignition kit new cap leads and coil but taken the coil off today!!. when i bought the truck it already had a custom exhaust with no cat. it also has after market headers found a makers stamp on them(kiwi racing)? thought about a lift kit but mines a 2wd. any parts i order like that come from the US and if i get half way through a job and find a kit doesnt have every thing i need im screwed cause i cant just go and buy whats missing! think i'll just move over!!! hoping to have a holiday in texas sometime
