Default Tranny/ Diff service

I just bought alot of stuff for my truck so that I can change my Front and rear diff fluids with mobil 1 synthetic gear oil, and my transmission and transfer case oil With synthetic ATF +4 fluid. Got a transmission filter kit, and filter. Is there anything else I should look for while I am doing this tomorrow. I know there is alot of knowledge on this site and if anyone knows of something else I should do while I am in the tranny or differentials. I also get to replace the Front Trac bar which I now have a lifttime warranty on which is cool.

Be ready when you pull the diff covers (stink) inspect the gears make sure theres no missing teeth .. clean the magnat...

how many miles does your truck have on it? If your truck has a lot of miles, and the tranny has never been serviced before, changing the fluid can actually destroy your tranny. Suspended particles in the fluid maintain friction between bands and clutches, and when you change the fluid, you take these out, causing your transmission to slip. So just be careful anytime you open up a tranny. Otherwise, it's pretty straightforward

The best way to flush your tranny yourself is to have someone help you as you do the following.

After draining and cleaning the pan completely, change the filter, reinstall the pan and add fluid, now:

Disconnect the transmission return line at the radiator. Connect a clean clear hose to the radiator and place the other end in a big bucket or jug. Exercising extreme care, have your helper start the vehicle. As the fluid leaves the system be adding fresh fluid. Make certain not to let the fluid get to low in the system. Continue until the fluid runs clean, the color of the fluid leaving the system will change to a bright red.

I hope this helps.
