Great information. That's the best explanation I've seen on this entire set. Thanks.

nhlbill, yes good info, I have ARB air lockers in my jeep and i can drive this thing on its side in a heart beat when locked!

I have to make some calls to gear places on my ram D-60 optionsbut if any one knows, let me know.

Anyone know if I can take my factory rear D-60 limited slip apart and rebuild it with more shims/clutches to make it tighter than new?

is the powertrax no-slipthe same as a lock-right? or lunch box locker? are you sure it's avail for the Dana-60?

in order toinstall the powertrax no-slip in my factory trac loc 4.10 D-60 rear I have touse a open carrier to install it in, Is this correct?

can I install a powertrax no-slip into the front D-60 CAD? anyone done this? any problems

I have a 2000 4x4 2500 w/4.10s and rear limited slip

Powertrax sells a no-slip that is specif for a carrier that already has a trash loc. It's like 20$ more. If you already have a trash loc you can rebuild them. There is also a trick that you can put in extra clutches to make it stiffer. The no slip and lock right are two differnt things. Don't let anyone tell you differntly. I went to a 4x4 shop and the guy swore up and down that they are the same. The differnce between the two is the type of metal they are made out of and the amount of noise they make. The no-slip dosn't click as much as the lock right. The lock right was also very prone to breaking and grenading your differential. The no-slip is made of a stronger metal so that that dosn't happen. Ive heard of people trying to install a no-slip in the front but, I've never heard the results. The downside of installing a noslip in the front is that your front driveline will spin all of the time. This could cause extra wear in the transfer case. If you did a cad delete and installed locking hubs I think the no-slip in the front would be a great idea.

I got to be honest, more than half of the time I post on this site, I am in the crapper.
So, you might see a lot more typos... and bad grammar.

But... thanks for keeping me on my toes.

If work wasn't so slow today, I would go through all of your 600+ posts to check on you.

Good info, I worked at a 4x4 shop and we would instal the locrite often, it was considerd the budjet or lunchbox locker

My jeepTJ has no CAD or hubs, shaft turns all the time, t-case is same basic design, so that would not be a problem, I just get different opinions, not real world on thatit may bind to much, if they mean when in 4WD or in 2WD I dont know (I need real world) before I invest.

cad delete and installing locking hubs is to big of bucks for me

screww the speelling![:@]

I'm going to do a little resurch on rebuilding a tighter trac-lock as mine works ok now,of course when Iride the brakes it makes a big difference, If I could get it to work like my original trac-lock equipped D-44 in my jeep (it was the tightest LSD I ever drove)

I talked to the guys at http://www.performanceoffroadcenter.com/
after knowing that I planed to use it off road on the rocks and beat it once in a while, they recomend going to a Detroit or similer full carrier replacment locker, the Powertrax, no-slip is not made to hold up in a D60 w/ 35" tires heavy truckoff road
