Default Door panel removal!

I was playing with my "****" to day on the stereo and relized that my driverside door panel speaker does not work! I am hoping it is a wireing/connection issue. But i cant get the dam panel off....ive tried searching on the web and its all for newer trucks or all it says is "hard until i found the special tool". Is it just simplying removing the 3 screws "thats all i see" and then prying or is there a trick....i just worry about prying to hard cause those are expensive to replace also i dont reeally wanna break the plastic clips "assuming thats whats holding it on" because i have had to buy those for a miata and they were outrageous. Any suggjestions would be helpful

You can get a tool for about $10 that help pull the panel away from the door. the clips can be had at any local parts store, and they aren't expensive from what i recall. Good Luck.

I usually just use a regular screwdriver to pop door panels off.

Yes we just did this.LOL Just take out the screws and pull, but you need to buy new white clips and be sure not to break the lock.

Its real easy actually. I would buy the tool, it's like a fork kicked at a 45 degree angle, I paid $5 for mine. Take out the three screws and then start with the lower outter corner of the door. Once you get that work you way along the bottom on up the sides. The hardest ones are the top ones, and once your that far just give them a good tug and they should come off as well. I wouldn't buy new clips, just use your old ones, b/c next time your door panel will come off easier. I have used the same clips a few times, and my door panel is still sturdy as ever. Good luck and let me know how it goes. Hope this helped.
