Anyone know how much a 2nd gen hood weighs???? Can me and my wife handle it, or do I need to get a buddy over to help?

Unless she is worried about breaking a nail I think you two could handle it.

Wow, that's it? So going with a fiberglass hood really doesn't buy you much weight savings does it.

I'm kinda suprised about that too. I thought for sure it would weigh more than that. Its a pretty large hood after all and the grill is a part of it. Fiberglass should shave a little weight off i would think.

Edit: or you could go carbon fiber, that would shave off even more

Ok, thanks for the info. I am going to take the grill off before the hood. That should loose another 5 or so pounds.
