Best trackbar?
Well, I need a trackbar. Badly.
I was planning on getting the thurren fabrication trackbar, as I thought it was the best replacement. But after 20dodgeneon00 report from it, and nhbill (sorry if the name isnt right, i cant remember 100%) I decided aganst that.
What brand trackbar should I get? I plan on offroading but its not going to be jumping sand dunes (at least not too much) so i shouldnt need a insane one.
Wheres a place that I can get one?
Im looking for one thats an improvment over the stock designwhich is obviously bad becasue they all fair prematurely, and im looking for one that is decently priced... i dont want to pay 200 dollars for some powdercoat and a fabtech name or somthing.
Anyideas?
Thanks

Ya, i've heard only good about Thuren's products too. I think neon's issue was more about the fact that he didn't know what lift he had, and the shop he was going to have the work done through wasn't cooperating with him much.
the problem that neon complained of was that it looked home made. and didn't look very professional....said the ends didn't line up quite perfectly....other then that he didn't complain about it....
Nhbill, that dude with the big truck that is almost identical to mine, but only huge... he said that he had to modify it or somthing for it to work. and that thurren took like 3 weeks to get there.

Looking at the picture, tell me if im right... the trackbar is just a straght bar, and there is a braket that allows the trackbar to work, and not be bent like the stock one.
Anyone else have anyideas? I just want to make sure I get a decent one.

Keep in ind that Bills truck is a 1500 frame that he upgraded to have Dana 60 front axle (and rear). That might have caused some of the modifications he mentioned. Otherwise, i've always heard the Thuren stiff is a direct fit.

to answer your question about the DT bar.. yes.. its basically a DOM tube.. (heavy wall)that has two rod ends.. one end witha hiem joint gets connected to the large black bracket you install on your frame/motor cross member, and the other end uses a rubber bushing joint that bolts inplace of the exsisting bar... really easy.. the only hard part is hole sawing through the frame and xmember .. i just orderd a rebuild kit for mine and it was hear faster then the shipping i paid for.. from AZ to NY... and the girl that answers DT's phones sounds really hot.. (dont even act like you dont know what im talkin about
