Default Changing Interior Color?

I am going to look at a 2001 Ram on Saturday. The interior color is mostly gray. I am fine with the gray seats, it's the door panels and the dashboard that I don't like. It just looks like a work truck color (no offense to you guys with gray interior). Would it be difficult to take the door panels off, and take the dashboard out, and paint them black? Any help will be greatly appreciated!

door panels are easy unless electric then they are a bit tricky, i got a base work model so elecs in mine. Everything cept the dash will be pretty easy alotta screws THE DASH ON THE OTHER HAND is ridiculous there are screws underneath it holding it in, prolly installed before the engine was placed in.

I promise you, if you touch that dash with ANY force whatsoever, you'll crack the bejesus out of it. Door panels and the other stuff will be fine, but the dash is brittle as hell.

best bet if you really want the dash black is to clean the crap out of it with simple green or purple power (brush with plastic bristles works well,) and then wipe it down with clean water and let it dry. Then mask off the windows and everything else and throw old blankets over the seats and carpet. It's a heck of a lot of prep, but it's the only way to be sure you don't get overspray on the rest of the truck and "fisheyes" in the paint on the dash.

Use a paint like Duplicolor for vinyl and trim or Plastikote. Mopar also makes an interior paint to match the factory colors exactly and it's the best stuff out there, (order form genosgarage.com if they carry black, good price) but the cans are only 5oz and it isn't cheap, but it'll come out the best by far.

Theres what i got so far.. If u have any questions let me know. And as for the top part of the dash, throwing a black dash cover from coverlay would be easiest..!!!
