Default running lights issues

hey guys, heres my issue. my running lights wont turn off when i push the switch in. it just started happening today, we got a command start installed boxing day and havent had issue's, it has an immob also. tried double checking the lights, playing with the remote for the command start but nothing, the lights stay on. got to d/c a terminal to the battery so it doesn't die. any suggestions to what this might be? thanks. 98 dodge ram laramie slt 5.9.

also, it started running like crap too, the exhaust sound isn't normal, it sounds like its starting to die, rpm's drop but stays alive. the check engine light stays on all the time because of the 02 sensor (something about it coming from another province or what not) but this time the engine light is off and she isn't running well. any ideas where to start? im gonna rip the column apart and look thru the wiring.

id check the pull out switch on the dash. It has seperate wireing for the running lights, headlights, and cab lights. I was able to get a replacement from autozone for like 20 bucks. As for the truck running poorly that might not be related to the lights. You said you had a CEL for an 02 sensor could mean your cat is cloged.
