It is something i know a few people around here have been kickin around. It is possible and if i remember right considering you had a wrecked donor truck for the engine there wouldn't be all too much money to put in. Me and my buddies have done just about anything with torches and welders so why the hell not.

Lots of 2500s have short beds, they just don't make regular cab short bed combos.

There would be A LOT of people that would get a RCSB 2500 or 3500. Is there any reason why dodge don't make one?

2500s and 3500s are made more for towing

short wheel bases aren't really the best for towing.

Although I do with they would make a 3500 offroad model Regular bed short cab, I think that would be sweet. but hell they don't make 2nd gens anymore and the 4th gens look like crap so even if they started making them I woudn't buy one now.

Yeah i understand the use of them with towing. I have a 3500, Although i love the extended cab part i would sometimes love to have a stout truck but short. Like goldpro said it would be great for plowing driveways. I could see some advantages to a RCSB 2500 or even hell a 3500. Like you said offroading also.

but on another side i really dont like the short bed, being that im a landscaper i use my bed alot and load it full of supplies and crap all the time, that extra 2 feet makes a big diffrence when you packing it full of stuff.

I recall seeing someplace that as long as it fit the reg cab long bed frame it was available...so i guess it could be RC/ LB or EC/SB. I guess they measure out the same. but either way its not RC/SB.. prolly why the indys and ssts werent v10s.
