Default Help! There's a sound

I hope someone can help. My truck had started making a strange noise when my foot is on the gas. It doesn't matter how hard or light I'mon thegas the noise is there. Its some where between a wining, rubbing, and wearing sound. There's no grinding yet, but it's getting louder every timeI drive.
Someone told me to check the trani fluid. SoI did, it's fine. Someone else said sounds like the rear end is going out. And another person says its the U-joint. And of course I was also told "Should've boughta CHEVY." Can anyone give me some suggestions? What should I do?

Did you check the diff fluid?

-If someone tells you you should have bought a chevy, tell them their mother should have swallowed.

Hang on the underneath of the truck, while someone else drives it. Im sure you be able to find it. BUt, no seriously, I would pull the cover on the Rear Diff and see if there are shavings or chunks of bearings in the housing

Thanks
WhenI get home I'll pull the diff. cover and see what I've got. I'm a little afraid of what I'll find. Any other ideas if this doesn't answer any questions.
