replacing front wheel bearings
A little help from the guys! I didn't know it at the time, but the
hub and rotor are one piece, and I had to replace the rotor. Now, what are the steps in removing the bearings from the old hub, and can they be used in the new hub? If buying new bearings, what other parts do I need to buy? Got to get this thing on the road by Monday! Thanks!

get new bearing inner and outter and press em in or push em in...get bearing grease and pack the bearings before you install , they only go in one way so be careful
There seems to be a ring that keeps the inner bearing in place. Is this supposed to come out, and will another one come with the new bearings? I was told that these are tapered bearings.
i think your 2wd is like most other 2wd front ends. you have fixed spindle. onto it slides the hub/rotor combination. like said ^ there is an inner and outer bearing set. there is a grease seal on the inside. just pry it out with a big screwdriver or something. new hub may already have new races pressed in ?? get new bearings and pack them. they will come with new races. if hubs don't have them already, then drive in the new ones with a big socket of same diameter. get new grease seal. once the back race and greased bearing is in, just tap the grease seal in with a hammer till it seats.
somewhere along the way, the 2wd changed to the non-servicable single bearing like the 4wd uses. i don't know what year.
