Hi new here and this is my first post. I just bought a 2001 dodge ram 1500 SLT Laramie. It has 56,000 miles on it and is in great condition. Of coarse I need to spruce it up some. I just have a couple of questions. I already searched and could not find what I was looking for. First I was told that with a leveling kit I could fit 315's. Is this true? I don't want to rub at all. Next I have noticed that there is a 2" leveling kit and a 2.5" leveling kit for my truck. Which one would be best? I also heard that leveling kits are for deisel trucks because the engine weighs so much? Is that true? They said that if I put one on my truck it will make the front higher and I don't want that. I just want it level. I would like to fit 35's if I can but 33's would be ok I guess. What is better a spacer leveling kit or the coils? I may just go with the coils and AAL in the back. If that is what I need to do to get it level. Thanks in advance! I wil get some pics up ASAP.

 

Get the kit that has the spacer that fits over the front coils. Get rancho shocks and AAL. Don't get the rear lift kits that have the blocks that fit between the axle and the springs. I have that and if the U bolts get loose, the *** end will shimm and ou need to heat the bolts and impact wrench them. That shimmyingcan do damage to your rearend, but luckily mine wasn't phased.

I have 33s and its perfect. Go with something around 3 inches front and 4 inches rear. it looks sweet.
