2000 Dodge Ram 2500 V10
I recently baught a 2000 Ram with the big V10! Well right off the bat I had to replace the battery. About a month or so later my brand new battery went dead. I figure it is probably not the alternator as it would have died a lot sooner. My logic is that some electrical componant has went bad and is draining the battery when the engine is shut off. So I head down to my local Auto Zone and pulled the codes. It came up with a P1495 fault which is a EVAP leak detection pump solenoid circuit condition where the ECM detected the pump solenoid did not change status when activated. So I baught a Haynes Manual and a Vacume Gauge and went home to tear into my truck. Well, I am new to the whole V10 engine with it's two extra cylinders and having a little trouble locating the pump solenoid. Can anyone help me out here?
