Default Tonneau Covers

I am looking to buy a tonneau cover for my new truck. The last one I had was a extang tuff tonno which was nice but had that covered wagon look because of the raised bowes. Has anyone had any experience with a brand of tonneau cover that lays flat but is still a soft cover?

I bought a realtively inexpensive tonneau cover for my 1995 Dakota back in the day. Cost me around $250, and it gave me the covered wagon look to which you are referring.

The previous owner of my Ram bought a nice tonneau, which I "inherited" when I bought the truck. Looked at it today for ya and its an "Agri-Cover" Access Roll-up Tonneau Cover. I love it. Take a look at the pictures on my car domain page (link is in my signature) to see it on my pickup. They make a couple different types in addition to the Access. They even make one designed to accomidate toolboxes.

They have the metal supports, but no "covered wagon" look. I guess they also offer a Lifetime Warranty on all the parts, including the fabric.

Only negative is that they are not cheap... for our Rams they range from $409 to $560, depending on which one you pick out.

http://www.autoanything.com/tonneau-...A1876A0A0.aspx <--this one seems like kinda what you are looking for as well. And a little cheaper. This particular one is to mate with a toolbox, the same version w/o is a little cheaper.

ot to hijack or anything but since i'm in the same boat, what the heck.

I too am looking for a soft tonneau cover but my question revolves around attatchment. I am a bit leary of the "snapless" designs since i also own a Jeep wrangler and know all to well how well the snapless top designs DON'T work on the wranglers. I've had to puill over a few too many times to re-attatch various top components that came loose on my on the freeway. what I am wondering is if the snapless tonneaus suffer from the same problems.

I have a snapless tonneau and it has never come open in the years that i have had it on there. It actually makes a really good connection.

Anyone ever try the Truxedo TruXport Roll-Up Tonneau Cover? It looks pretty good in the pictures and it has a lot of good reviews.

What type of latching system does it employ?
