I had someone come into work a couple of weeks ago buying electrical connections and wiring to hook one of these up on a Suzuki Samurai. I did my best to not to laugh at him, but he was convinced that it was going to make a huge increase in horsepower.
with that application he should have put a pully on the end of the electric motor and tied it in to his surpentine. That would make it a hybrid.
I bet that electric motor would add .001hp to it.

Here you go, the real way to make horsepower.

JP,
I was laughing my *** off!!!! That gave me an idea...Here it goes:

Get a compressed air container ( for cleaning computers) and turn it upside down. Mount it by the steering column upside down with a tube leading to thetop of the air cleaner. When you want a shot, justpull the trigger. BTW canned air isliquidNO2. At the least it will cool the intake charge.

Maybe the electric things will work. But for a V-8 you will need adual snorkel setup. Get one from a junkyard on an old chevy/gm and affix one to each side. THat may get a fairly respectable gain in HP.

That leaf blower thing was funny as hell dude...

I guess you could if you took the time you could rig that up so you could mount the pull string on your dash and just give it a good yank when you wanted to fire it up lol...

Theoretically if you had an onboard air system you could rig up something similar to the leaf blower system. Except not as redneck. I've never seen it done before but I suppose it would work...

A friend of mine was talking to me about rigging a house a/c squirrel cage fan to an intake. I already have a 2500watt inverter so I could do it, would be ugly as all hell, but could create wind speed of up to 150mph which would give some power.

Also I don't see how this ebay fan thing wouldn't do something. It should increase air flow, help the engine breathe a little, right? IDK I think it is a good idea, I was hoping to hear from some one who tried it. I have a ton in my paypal account so I am thinking of being a guinea pig.....

No, I aM not getting it. After readingg that really long (no-fipk) forum I think I am just going to leave my filter stock. I am putting in a fastman 50mm, TB spacer and all kinds of other stuff that will be coming in the next few weeks. I want new valve covers and the matching filter, but the cost is high. I think I will add that on later because I really want to see how my truck feels after this work and before any serious mods. I mean I was only gonna do the water pump, now I have my engine damn near a block.

Also I just noticed that my dash cover is starting to come unglued, seems that glue they supplied with it dosen't last. Still better than the old cracked dash though.

Might want to do a search about the throttle body spacer too,its worth about as much as the electric supercharger kit.
