Default Need help with leveling shackles.....

I cant get the old shackles off.I can get the nut off the bolt but there isnt enough room to get the bolt off the top of shackle.Is there some kind of trick to it? How are the bolts made?

i had the same problem with my dakota when i did the swap. i just cut off the bolts and went to the auto parts store and purchased new ones. all the road grime and stuff really gets caked on there

Yea the only way I can think of is torch them off. Just be careful were you are blowing the sparks. Check twice blow once.

It seems like dodge designers are idiots.First the distributor and now the bolts in the shackle.If they put the bolt on the outside and the nut on the inside then you could get it off but there isnt any room to pull it out.

How do they expect people to change thier leaf springs or suspension if you cant get the shackle off? They had to get it on and Im at loss for how they did it.Its hard to believe they force you to cut the bolts off.
