Uh-oh... Overhead Console Wiring Dilemma
I have recently been declared the lucky winner of an overhead console complete with trip computer on eBay. The problem being, my current console is merely wired for courtesy lights. I am getting the the necessary plug and wires from my dealer. I am not afraid of splicing wires; I am, however, worried about crossing wires. I installed a console in my Dakota and it worked great, but I had a schematic, which I now lack.... Any one have access to a scematic (
preferably with pictures
)? Or any preliminary test list of pins and proper voltages?

I puta mini o/hcomputerin my '01 that only had the courtesy lights.
You have to get the entire wiring harness that plugs in beside the emergency brake. Otherwise, the fuel calculator etc. will not work. You also have to get the outside temp sensor.
Be prepared for lots of cursing and carved up hands feeding the wires under the dash.
