Default 1 ton steering??

ok what is the deal with it? I did some searching and couldnt really find anything on it.. Is it as easy as just swapping the tie-rods off a 3500 to my 1500..or is there anything special i got to do? thanks

no it uses 1 piece tie rod and 1 piece drag link and uses 1 ton chevy TREs.
you will also need a reamer which are $50 (but I have one if your going to do this. used once $20)
I did this mod on my 98 and loved it.
you can do it your self or buy one from Shakerbuilt for $300 for everything. or cheaper if you just buy the threaded rod from him.

some people also go with a thuren steering but I see just as many of those being taken off and sold as I see getting put on and that set up uses Heim joits which in my opinion arent the best for a daily driver in the north where salt and cold weather gets to them.
