Default Timing Chains

Ok, from factory we have timing chains coated in something to reduce the noise. Overtime the coating wears off and the chain stretches. Now I was just looking at some parts in my spare time and it hit me! (ouch) ... I do not know if they make them for our app., but why can't I put one of those pete jackson noisy gear driven roller things. I think that would be awesome. Problem is something about the knock sensors. Now... we have simulators for everything else, can we "fix" that? Also the chain itself is going to make noise or vibrate a bit, so does the knock sensor already pick this up? ie. stretched timing chain? Just thinking out loud here.... any thoughts?

you can run a gear drive. The gear drive has one awesome benefit the chains dont have....they dont strech...they are more expensive though about 300+. The gear drive does require that you drill and thread a hole in the block for one of the bolts. thats about it.

Indy, do have a link for one that can be used for a magnum motor? I actually want to look into this further so if you can tell me where you got the info for the bolt to, that would be appreciated. Thanks

There is NONE specificly for the magnum. You have to grab a one for an LA motor and drill and thread a hole in the block to get the bolt in.
