Default Winter Fun/Engine Concerns

Driving around in Wisconsin last night.. Ahh winter wonder land, moron drivers in the ditch. I was pulling out an old friend this morning when my ram plowed into deep snow. I had to disconnect the chain to get myself un stuck. When doing so I locked it into 4lo. then when I mashed it in reverse it sputted and i heard a small back fire, it also did the same in drive.. then it spang to life.. I prolly shouldnt have mashed it but was wondering if it happens a lot of is someting fff-up. 5.2l new plunem, plugs wires cap and rotor. 104000 miles
