Default Kartguy's hunk of mystery metal

Hi.
I am trying to solve an odd tranny problem in my 2001 4x4. 99k . Driven like a car since brand new.
My tranny is the 512-A518/46RH/46RE model.

If you were told this hunk of metal was stuck to the magnet in the transmission during a fluid change, where do you think this part may have come from?
Does it look familiar to any of you?

Thank you for any close guesses fellow Dodger.

I was expecting to see the anchor that so many of us have fall out of the tranny but thats not it. I don't know what that piece is. Doesn't really look like the strut to me either so I don't know. I'd post over on Pavementsucks and see what they say. V10Sport I think thatshis username knows quite a bit when it comes to trannys. He helped me when the anchor fell out of mine.

I had the same thing come out of mine last year too. But the piece that came out of mine was about twice that size. I took it to my mechanic buddy. He thought that it looked like a piece of a large c-clip that holds the clutch pack in. I've had a new transmission installed since then, and never found out exactly what it was.
