Advice on truck paint touch up.
Trucks a 98, so its definately seen better days as far as paint job. Nothing major, looks good from a distance. But as you get close you can see little knicks and cuts, nothing longer then a half inch, or wider then a hair off the top of your head.
Autozone had some little paint "station" thing, you buy like 3 different things, and mix them to match your color, me being Dark Forest Green.
Looking for some advice if anyone else has done this?
Autozone had all the things to mix for 20$, does that sound too cheap to beputting on my truck? Can you suggest another place to cover the paint scratches? Anything I should avoid as it could damage my truck in the long run, or possibly peel off and be a waste of my time and money?

I went with Autozone touch up paint, they had book there for all of the paint codes for our years and trucks. Just matched and bought, looks great cant say anything bad about it. Just make sure u do it in at least 50 degree temp or paint may not set right
I have forest green pearl on my 99 and it seems to show a lot of scratches. Sounds like you should try a buffer or a good detail shop first to see what really needs to be fixed. Any scratches in the clear coat can be buffed out or nearly buffed out. If it is in the paint the stealership makes the best matching touch up paint but I find I need to put a drop of reducer in it to make it flow better.
For the knicks and cuts dont bother with the paint touch-ups. I have tried this before and you can never get the paint thin enough. I would suggest taking your truck to a detail shop and getting them to do a cut polish on the scratches, maybe on the whole truck if it is bad enough. It will cost you some money, but your tuck will look better then ever.

I would try a good buff and wax job first...it's the cheapest...you can do it at home.
