I just got this truck (98 1500 5.9 2wd 100K) over the weekend with a bad rearend, replaced the rear and am just starting to drive and sort out any problems, it sat for about 1.5 years, so far the trannyhas a (rumble strip on the hiway) shudder and am wondering what some of you have done to fix? Read where some put in a shift kit, but which kit and where to buy? Also it pings pretty bad, many years ago seems like I remember therebeing a comp flash to help with timing, does this sound right?

I'd give APS Precision a call about the tranny. He can probably also sell you a shift kit. He is very knowledgeable on them and could probably tell you whats wrong.
