I've had rancho, edelbrock and bilsteins... the rancho's are out, the eddy's & bilstiens are the only way to go IMO

i put the bilsteins on about amonth and half ago. i love em!! no body roll very nice handling i feel like i have alot moe control and speed bumps dont through my all over the place or dips in the road, i jsut hit em and stick em. its great! i was running 170k original shocks so it was a huge difference. if you are looking for stiffer go with those. a lil pricey but i give em 100% props!

+1, stiffer shocks on big trucks, so it doesnt feel like your gonna die when you hit a pothole

I have Skyjacker shocks but I'd probably look into Bilstien.

i put rough country's on in the front way to stiff (for me) they might be good for jumping dunes and turning- but not for the crappy roads on long island. the gabriels that i took off were a much nicer ride.

why do all you bilstein guys like them? details please. do they give you a soft comfortable ride or are they stiff like the rough country's i have. the only 4wheeln' i do is driving on the beach so i really rather have a much nicer street ride would the pricey bisteins be for me?

i was running stock shocks, and i would sway all over the place, my truck would continue to bounce for 30 sec. after i went of a speed bump at 2mph. it was sad. i like to offroad mostly mud and small inclines whatever i can find away from the cops. the Bilsteins just tightened everything up, they completely stick to every bump, you only feel it once! if you are looking for soemthing smooth that glids over and through bumps and potholes i dunno if i would suggest them, i dotn ahve much insight on other shocks so i dunno. the only thing i didnt like about the Bilsteins is that they were about 300$ shipped, i know there is cheaper shocks, but i had always heard that bilsteins were the best, and well i like the best, i dont think i would put them on a caddilac though, unless it was and offroad escalade or something.

at the time i did my shcoks i put new springs and a AAL so that could affect it as well, but its a stiff ride, taking corners isnt scary anymore, and driving around the mountains when i went skiing was alot better that before.

Exactly, they firm things up. No more washy feeling but they're not hard or stiff either. There's a couple of really big dips at cross streets here. You go down, come up, and level off. Not second bump, no harsh bottom, no hard impact coming back up.
