Default Body lift question

I'm looking at a '98 Ram 1500 2WD. I've been wanting 4WD mainly as I liked their height better than 2WD. This truck I'm looking at is a pretty good deal, so I'm thinking of getting it and getting a body lift. My question is: how many inches should I have it raised to equal the height of the 4WDs? To me it looks like a 2-3 inch difference.

not to sure about how much taller a 4wd is than a 2wd but if your ganna do a body lift id go with 3". i mean if your ganna go through the trouble of installing a body lift then at leastget as big as you can. IMO

Hmmmm....I'd be careful about getting a body lift. Some people have reported problems with body lifts, such as rust and corrosion weakening the body to the point that the body lift bushings go through the floor of the cab, etc.

This might be a viable alternative.

If you're set on getting a body lift, this one looks like it might be right up your alley.

Thanks for the tips. Was also wondering, if a 3" body lift is the max a body lift can go, will that even make a 2WD ashigh as a 4WD?
