Just my little six shooter while I wait for the 5.9 to get here. Just wanted to post this up just incase someone wanted to know what a 40 series dumped on a stock V6 would sound like. I would say run bigger pipe and use tips.. try to stay deeper.. cause at high RPM's (as you can hear) it sounds like a neon =b.. Like I said didnt put any effort into it because the 5.9 is on its way

Yeah it does sound kinda *****. Good call on the 360. You gonna convert it to 4 wheel drive too?

 

Reminds me of my Nissan Frontier that I used to have...had a Flowmaster 40 series on it, too, with 2.5" pipe and a 4" tip. Nothingcompares tothe exhaust note of a V8. Although, I think the best sound you can pull from a V6 is with a Flowmaster.

 

IDK dude, it doesn't sound that bad... right now, I'd rather swap exhaust note for mileage anyway! Good luck on the swap, you should build the hell outta that 360 when you get it.

Nah. I dont plan on converting it into 4 wheel. Would never use it.. I just like the look of the jacked up over the lowered.. Dont plan on actually using it.. just for show =).. plus i've heard the 2wd can do some mean mudding as well =b just have a jeep handy but like i said just for looks.. but the 5.9 will be built from the block up.. so it wont be for show [sm=badbadbad.gif][sm=gears.gif]
