Default Help please

I have a 99 dodge 1500 quad cab.

I was attempting to install a new stereo ( mine was stolen) when I noticed this grey wire that did not seem to go with anything else.

I traced the wire to the inside fuse box on the side of the dash. It is attached to a fuse but I have no clue what it is.

Any ideas?Name: 100_1635.jpg

I bought it in 06. I have no idea what it is for. It was attached to something though because when they stole the stereo that wire for it was also cut.

its just previous owner pulling a new hot wire from an unused socket, probably from an always hot socket. at least its got a fuse.
you can use it if you want to.
but if the original wiring harness and connector are intact, you could go back to the original wiring, which if only hot with key on.

Some people will run a hot wire to radio so its always on, so you dont have to turn the key on to listen to music.

if the wire runs from the fuse box to the radio compartment .. more than likely it was for the radio memory wire... Atleast the "installer" put a fuse on it....
