Default 1.5" coil spacers

Will I need the 1" or the 1.5" coil spacers to level out my 98 1500 4x2? Will I need to have it aligned afterwards or will it be fine like it is?

It's a good idea to get an alignment after any suspension change. As for the 1" or 1.5", go measure your truck. Measure each corner from the ground to wheel well and determine how much higher the back sits.

How much should aligning cost me on average?

I usually spend about $35-$40 for the alignement itself (I go to Brakes Plus because they have the setup for a truck as big as mine). Minor fixes are usually covered in that (like adjusting the camber). More advance corrections, like off-set ball joints, will usually be a seperate bill if required. If your truck is already aligned good now, adding the spacers shouldn't cahnge that, but always a good idea to check. Better to spend $40 for an alignment then to screw up a good set of tires and have to spend a few hundred for new tires.
