Default Blower motor/resistor?

My blower motor on my 98 ram will only work periodically. Some days it will work from the moment I start the truck, other days it will start working after I have been driving the truck
for awhile, and other days it may not come on at all. When it is working, its run at all speeds.
There does not appear to be any pattern as to when it will, or wont work.
I need to get this fixed before the hot weather sets in here in Texas, and was hoping someone
else may have already solved this problem with their truck. Any help offered, will be greatly
appreciated.

I would check the blower motor resistor first...probably about a $60 part. My Dad just replaced his on his '02. His fan would only work on high though. You could try it out...prolly what it is...

It's probably just the blower motor worn out. Does it ever make a squealing noise when it first starts? It's an easy repair, 30 mins max and you don't have to get dirty !

Got out therethe other dayand strated checking for power at the blower. With the key on the blower was not running, but I had power all the way to the last plug before the blower. I immediately thought, "ok the blower motor is bad" but then I plugged the blower back in and it kinda came on and off as I stabbed the plug back together. Long story short, I polished upthe spade connections, and put a little crimp to them to make them fasten back together tight, and viola, it has been working fine. Hopefully this solves the problem.

my blower fan kicks off once engine is warmed up. Dealership said something about temp sensor might be the problem.

Had it at the dealer for three days. If I knew the location of the sensor I could just replace it myself and save $$$.
