Default back pressure question

currently i have a stock exhauston my 99 ram 1500 with the 5.9L gas. i would like to put a flowmaster 40 series muffler on it. i would be keeping the same size pipe but i would be redirecting the exhaust after the muffer cuz i want stacks. now my real question is being that i haveto redirect everything and all would i either gain or lose backpressure and if so how much do you think it would matter. please let me know thanks
