T.F trackbar suddenly in effect?
Somewhat of a strange phenomenon, but in the last couple of days, my truck can lock full left and full right now with no binding or anything. I just find this really weird. I mean, I bought the Thuren Fabrication trackbar a little over three months ago now, and it did NOTHING for my truck. My allignment was still off, and instead of not being able to lock full right, I couldn't lock full left. Today I was at a gas station and I was turning it left to wrap around to the pump, and usually I'm cautious with left because it will lock and make a noise when I go full left, but much to my suprise, I heard NOTHING at full lock. So I went around the parking lot doing circles in full left and in full right, and it was PERFECT. Isn't this weird? I mean I am very happy it works now, but why all of a sudden..
Trackbar for the allignment? Well, the trackbar has everything to do with the allighment. Without the proper trackbar for a lifted truck, the axle isn't centered, which means your allignment will never be right. That's why I bought the thuren trackbar, because I was still running the stock trackbar on a lifted truck. But now with the trackbar, the axle is recentered, I can turn full lock both ways, and now I need a couple more adjustments on the allignment to make it just right.

Glad it finally worked out for ya! Sometimes it is just better to not question why things work the way they work, just be glad that they do

Was the trackbar adjustedwhen it was first installed to ensure that your axle was centered properly?
If not, then your axle position could have been causing one tire to stick out farther than the other. This could have been the cause of your rubbing when you were at full lock in one directon and not the other.
The other thing that could cause that is if the steering gear is out of "time" where there are more rotations in one direction than the other. This can happen if the pitman arm has been removed at some point and the steering wheel got turned.
It sounds like somebody didn't do at least one or more installations correctly to me and you'll have to look at everything closely to see what needs correcting.

You just can't seem to find a mechanic that can do anything right can you? Glad it works better, but I think you should get under there and check everything out and make sure nothing's loose.
