I bought a cheap hydraulic jack at walmart, and it worked for what I needed it for. BUt I didn't realize about the tire under the bed. IDK If I have that part either. What is it, how does it work? Does it function like a twist-n-lower deal?

 

Yup, it's a twist-and-lower thing that fits flush with the bed just to the right of the license plate and above it.

Can someone with the factory rods tell me what size the hex is? I cannot measure the one on my truck because it is recessed and my caliper will not reach in there. If I know the size I can buy a bolt that size and put some nuts on it for my wrench to work.
