Default Thanks and a Round AC

First off, I'd like to express thanks to all those who have provided useful information to the forum. I was almost ready to trade in my 10 year old Dodge for something new. When it acted up for the first time, I felt betrayed. Reading through this forum has given me new inspiration to fix and modify the truck I have always loved. Thank you!

Now for the AC.
I read the post on the round ACs and liked the idea. I found an Edelbrock 10x2 inch at AutoZone for $25. I liked the idea of the smalled unit not being cramped into the firewall. Plus, this unit has a 1/2 inch rise built in and theport to fit the stock breather hose. I bent up the threaded rod as in the otherposts andthe whole thingwenttogether beautifully. The breather hose matched up and there is about 1.5 inches of clearence to the cowl. I didn't even have to move the wiring harness as some others wrote about doing. I drove it around town a bit and am very pleased.

Looks sharp, man. There is a lot of knowledge in this forum, you just gotta have a good BS filter.[8D] These trucks are good ones and have their issues just like every other truck out there. What I always try to remember is that my truck is 7 yrs old now, and it will undoubtedly have problems...just like people getting older...stuff breaks. Replacing parts is still better than having a hefty payment on a new truck...
