After a major rebuild, the OD (6th) gear in my) 01' keeps breaking. (parts seem to be from India or so I'm told))
Would anyone know of a vendor that makes Hi-Po parts for this transmission?

Thats not a tranny... thats a transfer case...

And these are 4 spd trannys... no 6th gear

 

Sirhilton, someone feed you some wrong info. The NV5600 is the 6 speed (supposedly heavy duty) transmission that was put in the `99-01 Ram HD (years are as best I can tell.) And the automatics are 4 speeds yes, but manuals are the 5 (NV4500) and 6 speed varieties.

 

HD, I'd guess so.
This one lasted 295K and now it won't last 2 days (even with welding/heat treating the replacement in an effort to get some life out of it) . Quality parts for NV5600 are now getting very hard to find since New Venture went out of business and since Magna took over, they are not doing much about coming up with parts.
Lawsuit... Chrysler is supposed to be supporting their products for a given period of time.
If you have a NV5600..
be ready for the worst since parts are getting hard to find and the Chrysler Corp., is not helping.
